Magnesium Olive Sand Extrusion Profile Features
The extrusion process of calcined magnesium olive sand is roughly the same as that of aluminum alloy, and the main differences are as follows:
(1) Heating method: magnesium olive sand is only allowed to be heated in an air resistance furnace; while aluminum alloy can be heated in an air resistance furnace or an induction furnace.
(2) Extrusion temperature: magnesium olive sand extrusion temperature is slightly lower, in order to prevent magnesium ingot combustion, all kinds of magnesium olive sand allows the maximum heating temperature of 470 ℃; and the maximum heating temperature of aluminum alloy can reach 550 ℃.
(3) extrusion speed: magnesium olive sand extrusion speed up to 20 m/min, faster than the hard aluminum alloy, but only soft aluminum alloy extrusion speed of about 1/3.
(4) Die size: magnesium olive sand hot extrusion material shrinkage than the aluminum alloy, and the deformation of the mold to withstand the resistance, mold design requirements to withstand greater extrusion pressure, and do everything possible to reduce the deformation resistance of metal extrusion.
(5) Tension straightening: magnesium olive sand extrusion material should be straightening under the condition of heating to 100 ℃ ~ 200 ℃, which requires special equipment; The aluminum alloy extrusion material can be straightening at room temperature.
